What are annual limits?
An annual limit is the maximum amount see-u will pay towards services, items, or groups of services/items in one calendar year (from 1 January to 31 December).
If you switch your cover or insurer, any benefits you’ve already used under your previous plan will carry over and be considered when we determine your first-year limit on your see-u policy.
What is a combined limit?
A combined annual limit is the total amount of benefits you can claim, but it’s spread across a group of services. For example, you might have a combined limit for things like dental, optical, and physio, meaning the total amount you can claim for those services in a year is capped.
What is a sub-limit?
A sub-limit is the maximum amount you can claim for a specific service within your Annual or Combined Limit. For example, if your combined limit covers dental and optical, a sub-limit might apply to your dental claims, meaning there's a set amount you can claim for dental services within your overall limit.
What is a per person limit?
Each person on your policy can claim up to their own ‘per person’ limit, which means everyone gets their own amount to claim. However, if there’s a family limit in place and one of the family members has already hit that limit, others on the policy won’t be able to claim any further for the year.
What is a per family limit?
The family limit is the total amount that can be claimed by all members on your policy. This applies if you’re on a Single Parent, Couple, or Family policy. Once the family limit is reached, no further claims can be made for the rest of the year, even if individual members haven’t hit their ‘per person’ limits yet.
What is a lifetime limit?
A lifetime limit is the total amount you can claim for a specific service over your lifetime. If you change your cover (or insurer), any benefits you’ve already used under your previous plan will be carried over and taken into account when we calculate your lifetime limit on your see-u policy.
What is a loyalty limit?
To say thanks for sticking with see-u, some of our products include loyalty limits. This means your annual limit will increase over the first three years by a set amount. The loyalty limits are based on the anniversary of when you joined your policy.
